500 Bay sits right on the open bay at the north end of Ocean City, minutes from the Route 52 causeway. It's two separate buildings, a six-story North and a seven-story South, about 110 residences in all, built in the late 1970s and run tight ever since. Most condos here are second homes and summer places, but they make fantastic full-time residences too. You get real bay views, open-water sunsets, and a full set of amenities that a lot of newer shore buildings can't match. 500 Bay went up in the late 1970s and has been one of Ocean City's established bayfront addresses ever since. The North building rises six stories, the South building seven, and both sit right on the open bay with the amenities shared between them. The mix leans toward two-bedroom layouts, with one-bedrooms, a den plan, three-bedrooms, and a pair of top-floor studios rounding it out.
The association runs with an on-site property manager and on-site security, so the buildings stay maintained and staffed straight through the season.
